The Funicular Mountain Railway is fully accessible for wheelchair users with lift access to all levels and assistance available from staff if required.

During the winter skiing season the ground conditions can be difficult under foot and so we strongly recommend you check if there is snow lying at car park level before you plan  your  visit  in these winter months.  If you do come up in winter we suggest you avoid the early morning skier rush and plan your visit between 11am and 2pm.

In the Base Station you can take a lift up to the Ticket Office and from there, staff will assist you onto the train. At the Ptarmigan Top Station there is lift access to all floors including the weather watching terrace.  There is also wheelchair access into the Day Lodge.

CairnGorm Mountain can also make available wheelchairs for your personal use on site. Please ask at the Ticket Office.

Within the ski area at CairnGorm Mountain there are a number of walking trails around the car park area that are suitable for both wheelchair and buggy use.  The mountain garden is steep in places but can be negotiated by a wheelchair with assistance. The mountain garden also gives access to the Camera Obscura.
