Ridge to River Descent
This all-encompassing ride starts from the Ptarmigan Top Station at 14.00 daily, and ends at Aviemore Steam Railway car park approximately 3.5 hours later. Our experienced guides take cyclists down the sub-arctic terrain which make up CairnGorm’s ski runs during the winter time, on down the old Ski Road which was built in 1959, and through spectacular moorland, sparkling burns and forest trails, around the beautiful Loch Morlich and further down on the Old Logging Way to Aviemore. Participants will enjoy the mix of moments of pure adrenalin and calm relaxation.
Participants should leave their cars at the Steam Railway car park, cross over the railway line to the front of Aviemore train station and take the 31 public bus up to CairnGorm in plenty of time for the 14.00 start time. (See below for bus times and prices).
