Terrain Park

This season CairnGorm is revamping its terrain park setup so the rippers can shred it up whatever the weather at any time of the season.  We intend to establish “minishred” areas around the mountain, little parks which will provide a line of three of four hits set to provide fun for all levels of rider.  The features in these setups will include new butter boxes of various dimensions  and they will be located in the Ciste, Cas and Lower-slopes areas dependent on conditions with the intention that there will always be a park setup open somewhere.

The main park on the Ptarmigan which requires more snow will operate in four stages as the season and snow cover progresses.           

Early season – park will concentrate on farming snow to get asolid base but will aim for a technical roller section and a triple kicker line.                                                                       

Mid season -  park will grow with a progressive rail line up top and kicker line in the bowl – with secondary features if snow allows.                                                                           

Late season – park will have a comp setup with progressive rail line into kicker line and secondary features developed full length of Ptarmigan.                                                                  

End of season – park will consolidate on three or so features to make best use of snow and to run as long as possible
