Disability Snowsport UK
If you or anyone you know has a disability you can still enjoy your visit to Cairngorm National Park and take advantage of the fabulous snow conditions. We work closely with the national charity, Disability Snowsport UK who are based here and deliver lessons on CairnGorm Mountain seven days a week between January and April (conditions dependant)
DSUK is a people-centred organisation with a unique sense of purpose: that anyone regardless of their disability can take part in and enjoy the thrill of snowsports. They have applied exceptional know-how and adaptability for over 30 years to enable those with a disability to experience the joy of skiing alongside the able-bodied. DSUK provide exciting and life enhancing activities for individuals or groups who require adaptive equipment and/or special instruction and support.
The fully qualified adaptive instructors have a vast knowledge of disabilities and their associated effects and are trained to deal with all eventualities. They adapt their equipment to suit your needs and that is why you can be sure that if you book lessons through DSUK on CairnGorm Mountain you will not only learn from the best, but you will also receive a truly personalised experience.
Lesson times are usually: 10am - noon & 1pm - 3pm however these are guidelines and can be adapted if need be. They do ask that you arrive 15minutes prior to the lesson to get the equipment set up. During peak times early booking is essential.
If you would like to book an adaptive lesson or, you would just like to talk to someone about your disability and skiing please call DSUK on 01479 861 272; alternatively you can email them. Any messages will be responded to as soon as possible.
