Here you can currently purchase tickets for the Funicular Mountain Railway for 2012-2013. You can also still buy your day tickets for snowsports.

Please be aware that once you have made your purchase online you need to either print off your booking confirmation and bring it to the Ticket Office or quote your reservation number as proof of purchase.

Funicular Tickets

The Mountain Railway transports visitors to the Ptarmigan Top Station, nestled just below the summit of Cairn Gorm. The Top Station offers spectacular views from the terrace, the Shop at the Top, panoramic Ptarmigan Restaurant and a mountain exhibition. Click here for further information and price lists.

Guided Walks

Walk @ The Top

Small groups of up to 10 visitors can enjoy a 90 minute guided walk on a mountain trail path to the summit. You’ll be walking at over 3,000ft with an expert guide. The route is around two miles long and takes on rough, uneven surfaces with a steady ascent of 486ft. You'll need to be fit enough to walk for at least one and a half hours after you exit the Ptarmigan Top Station. Walking boots or trail shoes are neccessary and waterproofs advised. Northern Corries Walk

Known as The Northern Corries Walk, you’ll be hiking 2,000ft above sea level in groups of 10 with experts not only ensuring that you’re safe, but also offering their knowledge of CairnGorm Mountain. You can enjoy a 4-5 hour guided walk on a mouontain trail path in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park. This is an excellent walk for those with the experience of low level walking who would like to try some higher level routes in the company of a local guide. Funicular Up, Guided Walk Down
 
Visitors may ride the funicular up, then join a guided walk down the mountain. Suitable footwear and clothing advisable. Click here for further information and prices.

Guided Mountain Biking

Hill Track Mountain Descent

Consisting of two exhilarating descents with an experienced guide, the first descent leaves from Middle Station and the second from the Ptarmigan Restaurant (1097m). Both finish at the Base Station (635m).  Total time is approximately 1.5 hours. The price includes funicular travel, use of a Specialized Rockhopper bike, helmet, shinpads and glasses. Descents run each Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday (other days are available on request) at 9.40, 11.40 and 14.00. Ridge to River Mountain Bike Descent

This sensational descent starts at the Ptarmigan Restaurant and ends at the Steam Railway car park in Aviemore approximately 3.5 hours later.  The experienced guide will take participants on a journey incorporating a mix of sub arctic terrain, spectacular moorland and picturesque forest. Price includes funicular travel, use of the Rockhopper bike, helmet, shinpads and glasses. This trip operates daily at 14.00pm.
