ESSENTIAL SUMMIT TRAIL
Our ‘must-do’ experience exploring the heart of the Cairngorms National Park!
It might be easier than you think to walk to the summit of Cairn Gorm – why not head out from the Top Station alongside one of our knowledgeable guides, learning about the unique fauna and flora that survive in the elevated elements? Reaching incredible heights of over 4,000ft, you’ll experience memorable panoramas of the whole of the Cairngorms and breathtaking views.
Every day between May and October (subject to weather conditions) small groups of up to 10 visitors can enjoy this 90 minute guided walk on a mountain trail path to the summit.
Children must be accompanied. Please call 01479 861261 to discuss booking Under 8’s as conditions may not be suitable on the day.
|Clothing Required:||Waterproofs, walking shoes/boots or good sturdy trainers. Hats and gloves recommended even in the height of summer.|

WALK UP, FUNICULAR RAILWAY DOWN
Those wishing to make their own way up CairnGorm Mountain will have the opportunity to purchase a Funicular Railway ticket for the way back down from the Shop @ The Top.

Please note, between the 4th June – 4th July whilst our Funicular Railway is undergoing some essential maintenance, we will only be able to offer the following guided walks:
4 HOUR WALK (COIRE AN T-SNEACHDA)
Join one of our Ranger/Walking Guides on an exploration into the Northern Corries. Explore the natural and human history of the landscape of the Cairngorms. There is a good chance of seeing Ptarmigan on this walk. This is a four hour walk, with some rough sections of path. You will need to bring a packed lunch or you can pre-order one to pick up from CairnGorm Mountain. You will also need a full waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers and stout footwear.
Available: Friday & Sunday. 10.30 am to 2.30 pm
1-2 HOUR WALK (COIRE CAS LOOP)
Take a winding route through the lower levels of the ski area to explore the natural and human history of the Cairngorms. There is a good chance of seeing Red Grouse and Mountain Hare on the walk. Walk should last 1-2 hours. There will be some gentle slopes on good paths. You will need a waterproof jacket and waterproof trousers.
